Coastal Voices, the 52-voice premier community choir of the central Oregon coast, presents “Holiday Homecoming,” a concert of diverse selections celebrating the festive December season. In Part I of the performance, the spotlight is on music for Kwanzaa, Solstice, and Chanukah. An audience sing-along follows the intermission (lyrics to seasonal favorites provided.) Christmas is the focus of Part II, featuring sacred and secular selections honoring the holiday. SoundWaves, the smaller ensemble drawn from the larger group, also performs several songs. Tickets for the raffle of song-themed gift baskets are available for purchase before the concert and at intermission.

— Who: The Oregon Brass Society is Oregon’s only British style concert brass band composed of about 25 brass players and concert percussion.

— What: The Oregon Brass Society will perform “Brass Americana - Barber to Bourbon St. to Bernstein” — Barber’s “Adagio”, traditional jazz, selections from “West Side Story”, and more.

— When: The concert will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, May 10.

— Where: Grace Community Fellowship in Eugene

— Come hear the rich sounds of the state’s only British style brass band composed of music educators and other adult musicians from around the Willamette Valley and the coast. The concert is free to the public.

This WOVEN fundraiser offers a place to reconnect with our younger selves through multi-sensory experiences. It is a celebration of play, creativity, and joy, a place to wear our inner child on the outside. Participation in this multi-sensory celebration supports WOVEN's 2025 programs including the Evolving Through Grief Scholarship.

Attendees are invited to dress up and adorn themselves however their inner child pleases. Together, we will dance, enjoy arts and crafts, play tea party, eat treats, relax into story time, and engage with general wonderment. At the heart of this magical ball is music curated by DJ Firehawk. Twirling, whirling, and silly dance moves are encouraged.

There will also be space for letting our inner child rest; a tended grief altar to receive tears or anger; and wind-down story time with an elder. Before departing, we’ll share a guided birth-to-now journey to help us come into the present and leave with full and grounded hearts.

WOVEN is an entirely volunteer-run non-profit organization in service to our community. We foster wholeness and interconnectedness through multi-sensory creative exploration, human connection, and community support.

This event is 18+ and sober.

Join trumpeter Paul Krueger and his dynamic ensemble for an evening of original compositions and jazz classics. A versatile trumpeter, composer, and educator, Krueger is the Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Oregon and a three-time Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award winner, with performances and works internationally recognized.

Michael Anderson continues his mission of setting all of Beethoven’s symphonies for chamber ensemble with microphilharmonic’s premiere of his chamber arrangements of Beethoven’s 1802 Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 21 and his 1812 Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92. Beethoven conducted the premiere of No. 2 as he was coming to realize that his increasing deafness was incurable. The piece received mixed reactions from the Viennese audiences, one critic writing that it “was a hideously writhing, wounded dragon that refuses to die, but writhing in its last agonies and, in the fourth movement, bleeding to death.” Ten years later Beethoven conducted the premiere of the 7th at a charity concert for Austrian soldiers wounded at the Battle of Hanau against Napoleon to a much more receptive (and certainly patriotic) audience.

The Sunday Market is a farmers and makers market featuring local food, farms and artisan crafts. Held on the newly remodeled grounds of the Lincoln City Cultural Center in the heart of Lincoln City. Live music each week from 11-1.
