Photography at Oregon’s 47th Annual Exhibit and Auction is nearly upon us! We’ve already received an impressive collection of print donations from noted photographers locally and nationally. So far, contributions include prints from artists such as Christopher Burkett, Christopher Landis, Ken Hawkins and Brian Lanker, as well as outstanding works from many exceptional local and regional artists, such as Michael Z. Taylor, Barbora Bakalarova, Sarah Grew, Walt O’Brien, and Doremus Scudder, just to name a very few.

As in years past, there will be three Auction Exhibits featuring prints from the Online Auction at Dot Dotson's Gallery in Eugene, one each in May, June and July. This year, the online auction and the three exhibits will run concurrently. You can view a select number of photographs at Dot Dotson's each month and view and bid on the entire selection of over 85 photographs online at auctria.events/PAO2025.

There will be an Opening Reception from 5-6 p.m., complete with wine and hors d’oeuvres. We hope to see you there.

The exhibit will run all of May, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.

The Online Auction itself will be open for bids starting May 1st and continuing through July 31st. The entire selection of photographs will be online.

We are looking forward to an active turnout for the 2025 Auction! Remember, that all auction proceeds go toward promoting and sponsoring photography exhibits and events by PAO, as they have for the past 45 years. Our success is directly due to the generosity of many fine photographers donating work, giving back to the medium we all love, as well as the generosity and commitment of our bidders.

Ages 21+. In this supportive, low-key setting, you'll be given step-by-step instructions on how to create an acrylic masterpiece to take home at the end of the night. Each month has a new theme! This is a social club for LGBTQIA folks and allies of all ages; we meet every week but only talk about one book per month. Some activities are chatting about what books we’re reading, discussing trans artists and issues, reading each other LGBTQIA-friendly picture books, and we’ll even chat about shoes.

On the last Tuesday of the month we discuss our monthly discussion book. Our discussion book is a book about/for/by trans and gender diverse people. Join us this June at CTV as we celebrate Pride Month with a special screening of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001), a singular, genre-defying cult classic that blazed a glitter-soaked trail for queer and trans representation in cinema. Bold, brash, and deeply human, Hedwig is a film that refuses to be forgotten—or boxed in.
Adapted from the groundbreaking stage musical by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, Hedwig and the Angry Inch follows the story of a glam-rock singer from East Berlin who survives botched gender reassignment surgery, migrates to America, and embarks on a soul-searching, rock-powered journey of identity, heartbreak, and self-acceptance. With dazzling visuals, an iconic soundtrack, and a performance for the ages by Mitchell himself, Hedwig is as much an emotional gut punch as it is a raucous, punk-fueled anthem of resilience.
As part of the screening, we’ll also host a brief talk exploring the behind-the-scenes struggles of bringing Hedwig to life—from its low-budget indie roots to the creative risks taken by Mitchell and Trask in a time when queer cinema faced limited visibility and considerable resistance. Learn how the filmmakers carved out space for radical storytelling in a conservative industry—and why Hedwig still matters today.

Everyone is welcome to join in each of these events, whether you have never picked up a disc or are a seasoned veteran! Bring a couple putters if you have them, or you can borrow some of ours.

Players will pay a small fee ($5 for adults, $3 for juniors [18 or younger]) to play a 9 hole disc golf putting course at Alton Baker Park. Youth with the 1Pass can play for free.

Players will compete for weekly prizes and earn entries into a raffle that will be held at the end of the series finale!

For an extra $1 per round, players can also play for cash each week! The extra $1 will be added to a growing money pot. If a player makes all 9 putts with the designated "money" putter from each station, you win the money pot! Multiple winners in a week will split the pot. Any remaining funds at the end of the series finale will go towards the club fundraiser.

These events are fundraisers for both the Eugene Disc Golf Club (EDGC) junior grant fund as well as UPlay Disc Golf ( @uplaydiscgolf ).

What’s in season varies from week to week and is influenced by weather and production methods, including the tall greenhouses called “high tunnels” that some farmers use.
