2026 Oregon wildfires

An airport that supports firefighting efforts in the Oregon Cascades will be closed during June and July. But state officials say it will re-open before the peak of the wildfire season.

Fire officials have called in aerial resources to attack the flames.

At 6 p.m., the La Pine Rural Fire Protection District reported that the Riverview Fire was "currently undergoing mop up with no structures lost."
