The Oregon State Women’s Basketball team’s run in the NCAA Tournament came to an end Friday night, as the Beavers were ousted by No. 1 Louisville 61-44.

No.1 seed Virginia proved too much for the No. 12 Oregon Men’s Basketball team in the Sweet Sixteen match in the NCAA Tournament Thursday night.

Katie McWilliams is going to the Sweet 16 for the 4th straight year.

The senior guard for Oregon State marveled at the four-peat after the 4th-seeded Beavers secured a trip to Albany with a 76-70 victory over 5th-seeded Gonzaga Monday night in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament.

Mikayla Pivec led the way with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Beavers face top-seeded Louisville on Friday. That team defeated No. 8 Michigan 71-50 on Sunday.

After NCAA Tournament victories, the University of Oregon Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams are headed to the Sweet Sixteen.

The Oregon State Women’s Basketball team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday with an overtime win against Boise State. The No. 4 Beavers outlasted the No. 13 Broncos with a final score of 80 – 75 in the Albany Regional in Corvallis.

Oregon State had an 8-point lead at the half, but struggled in the 4th quarter. With the score tied at 66, the game headed to overtime where the Beavers held on to the lead to take the win.

Oregon State’s Mikayla Pivec and Aleah Goodman each had 20 points in the victory.

The Oregon State Women’s basketball team advanced in the NCAA tournament with a Friday night win over Baylor. Aggressive rebounding helped the sixth seeded Beavers (26-7) defeat the No. 2 seeded Lady Bears (33-2) with a final score of 72-67. It was Baylor’s first loss since November.

The University of Oregon men's basketball team ended their storybook season Saturday. They lost 80 to 68 to Oklahoma in the Elite 8 round of the NCAA tournament.

The Ducks never found an answer to Oklahoma's Buddy Hield, who scored 37 points, hitting eight 3 pointers.

The University of Oregon Men's Basketball team stays alive in the NCAA tournament. The 8th seeded Ducks defeated 9th seeded Oklahoma State 79-73 Friday night. Dillon Brooks had 17 points for the Ducks. Head Coach Dana Altman got the win in his return to Omaha in the same building where he once coached Creighton. Oregon Guard Joseph Young was asked about playing Wisconsin next, the team that ousted the Ducks in the tournament last year.

The University of Oregon's softball team walked away with a convincing victory in the first game of the post season Friday. The Ducks defeated Utah Valley 12-1 at home in the NCAA Regional. The Ducks pitching staff struck out 11 of 18 batters they faced.

The Ducks entered the tournament ranked first in the nation. Before play began at the U of O's Howe Field, Head Coach Mike White said the ranking doesn't put any extra weight on the team's shoulders.

The University of Oregon Men's Basketball team has won an NCAA Tournament game in consecutive seasons for the first time in program history. But, the University of Wisconsin Badgers ended the Ducks' season Saturday 85 to 77 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Ducks had a great first half despite Wisconsin's five offensive rebounds. Oregon went into the locker room with a 12-point lead and a lot of momentum.

The University of Oregon’s bid to repeat as PAC-12 tournament champions was squandered Thursday night by the same team they defeated last year to win it all.  UCLA blew the game open in the second half to win by 19.

The game was a back and forth affair for most of the first half, but UCLA got hot shooting and opened up a 20 point lead with five minutes go.  They held on to win 82-63.  Oregon’s Joe Young scored a game-high 29 points, but no other Duck broke into double figures.
